Collin Chauraya is an experienced Engineer with a BTech. Hons Degree in Industrial Engineering from the National University of Science and Technology). He has worked in the mechanical building engineering services sector including both fire and wet services since 1995 and from 2014 has been specialising in the field of fire safety and fire prevention, with specific reference to the Fire Safety Design of both new and existing buildings. He has been solely responsible for the design of fire safety measures for buildings ranging from clinics, hospitals, hotels, offices, industrial warehouses, shopping centres, universities, schools and residential accommodation, sports stadia and vehicle sales and showrooms.

Collin has been the lead Engineer for both the Mechanical and Fire Departments whilst working for Mnjiya Consulting Engineers in Midrand, prior to taking up a post as Senior Fire Engineer with CKR Consulting Engineers JHB a post held prior to joining MKHOLI CONSULTING as a fire engineer and co-director of the company. He is a member of Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), a member of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and an Associate Member of Institute of Fire Engineering (IFE).
